T61/T61P DFFS

Is Dynamic FSB Frequency Setting disabled in T61 and T61P Thinkpads?

Or perhaps only with Extreme Series?

I am talking here about modified bioses, of course.

My sources tend to point out at my X9000, so presumably all Extreme Series(QX9300, X9100,X9000). Does anyone else have additional feedback?

As far as I know - not that I've dug deeply into the matter at hand - the answer is "yes".

I don't know about DFFS, but i certainly sure about SLFM (super low frequency mode). It is present in all core 2 duos (accepting this technology) in T61. It is simple to observe. Choose maximum battery life and kill all computational tasks. Launch cpu observation programm (sometimes "My Comuter->Settings" can show CPU frequency) and you can see 800MHz. If you can see choosen multiplyer it will 8 (not minimal) - so FSB becomes rated 100MHz. ThrottkeStop can't understand low FSB and shows 200MHz rated FSB and 1.5GHz CPU core speed.

Yes all core 2 quad (i don't know about extreme C2Ds) have no SLFM!

And yes i am on Middleton's BISO, but this functionality present in original BIOS.
