X1 Carbon (1st gen) CMOS battery dead?

#1 Post by ChugokuOtaku » Sun May 17, 2015 10:55 am

Has anyone else with the 1st gen X1 Carbon had their CMOS battery die already?
The date in my BIOS has been resetting every time I leave the machine powered off and unplugged. I found it odd that the battery has died having owned the machine for only two years. Right now, the machine will power on automatically if I plug the cable in and throw the CMOS date/time error(even though the BIOS is not configured to power the machine on automatically when power cable is connected.)
