Knockoff battery - expected performance?

#1 Post by flyingfishfinger » Sun May 17, 2015 12:00 pm

Just got a replacement 8-cell off Ebay. Charged, cylced it once and I see:

- Design capacity 44.0 Wh
- Full charge capacity 39.49 Wh

Is this normal for knockoffs or are they usually better? What's your experience with the performance of non - OEM batteries?

It's normal. Even for a genuine battery I would not consider it abnormal. Especially for an old battery that was shelved for a long time, even if unused.
