Issue with a WIDI 42 IN Tv display and a displaylink dock on X1 carbon 20A7

Hello,

I am having a strange display issue on a new X1 carbon 20A7 model running windows 8.1 I purchased for a user. We have a targus 3.0 display link docking station with display link driver 7.7 plugged into the laptop and a standard monitor 1280 by 1024 plugged into the back along with some usb devices. I am also using a 42 inch Visio as a WIDI monitor. Sometimes the laptop show that it is 2560 by 1440 but everything is very large. Larger than that res should be. When this happens the extra monitor and WIDI TV work but the displays are swapped when we identify them. The TV shows monitor 3 on the TV screen but in the graphics settings is shows as monitor 2 and same for the extra monitor plugged into the dock. When I shut down the system with the dock still plugged we reboot and the x1 carbon displays the correct 2560 by 1440. I know because everything gets really small. Then I switch it to 1900 by 1080 and it looks good with the extra monitor. We then connect the laptop to the WIDI display randomly the WIDI display disconnects, all monitors go black and sometimes the computer shuts down with a blue screen error. Other times it seems to work fine. Then randomly displays shift around and go black and the WIDI display disconnect. Any ideas? I have re-installed all the drivers, Intel display, Intel WIDI, Display link 7.7.
