I used the 64GB Samsung Sata II that I got for $20 as my tester drive. The drivers in Windows 10 yield better read and write speeds on the Samsung SSD. 215mb read and 120mb write speeds. The 64 bit version of Windows 10 uses 15GB of space.
It's nice that flash comes preloaded in Spartan and I didn't need to download any ethernet or wireless drivers.
Anybody else testing out Windows 10 on their Thinkpads?

Setup Win 10 on one of my T410s
Re: Setup Win 10 on one of my T410s
I was testing it on my T410 when it was announced and I was very impressed. I am now dual booting Windows 8.1 and Linux Mint 17. I use Windows for work, and linux for everything else. So while I am looking forward to Windows 10 for my clients, I don't really care for myself.
If I could accomplish all my work related tasks in linux, I would. But I can't. Outlook won't run in Wine, and neither will our remote control app for connecting to client PC's. Sure I could wipe the HD, set the entire partition aside for linux and setup a Windows VM. But I also like to flash Android ROM's and most of the good tools for my Note 4 don't have linux versions. I find that odd because Android is based on *nix and you'd think the linux would be fine. But I own a Note 4, and the most reliable way to flash it is with Odin, which is not available for linux and heimdall is nowhere near as good. Also Odin won't work in a VM because when you put the phone in download mode via USB, you need real USB not emulated or shared USB. So for those reasons I still dual boot. I wish I didn't have to, but I do.
Perhaps when we get a few more techs on staff and I can back into management and sales, then I can run linux as my primary OS. I look forward to that day.
But for Windows 10 I also anticipate it for our clients. Most IT outfits have skipped Windows 8 for good reason and are using Windows 7 / Vista. I expect a mass exodus to Windows 10 within a year of its release. Time will tell.

They need to add more color to Windows 10 and round the corners off to the frames and windows.
