Hello! I was directed here by the fine people at reddit after spending a good week drooling at thinkpads on eBay. Given that the vast majority of sellers there only ship within the US and don't seem to know jack about the spec of what they're selling, I thought I'd try here.
I've set my eyes on is either the X201t (with at least an i5) or a low-end X220t, given that my budget is around $400 but, being in Argentina, shipping will eat at least ~$70 of that.
I know international shipping is a MASSIVE hassle for most, so I don't want to put up specific specs. My main interest is that the laptop's alright hardware-wise, that is, good aesthetic state, a decent battery and latches, little keyboard wear, etc, because getting replacement parts and accessories is a slow process here. For this I'd definitely prioritize offers including accessories, like a base or dock.
If all else fails/I get no interest/I drop my love for the tablet feature, I'd also be taking offers for equivalent-priced, higher-spec regular Thinkpad T/X series.
Thanks for reading!
WTB: X201t/X220t - Intl. Shipping
Re: WTB: X201t/X220t - Intl. Shipping
You should be able to get a very nice x220t shipped to Argentina for that amount. I usually have one or two for sale, but right now, the one I have has a less-than perfect screen. (You can look at eBay item 251975000440) I have one coming in next Tuesday or Wednesday, but I don't know exactly what the condition is until I see it. I do know it is an i7 CPU, so with shipping, it will be near the top of your price range including a power supply, but no dock. I ship Express Mail (EMS) to Argentina and it costs me almost exactly $70.

Do keep me updated! I'll follow you on Ebay. The lack of dock doesn't bother me much, it's just that it's more expensive (3x) to buy it here and it'd be nice to plop the thing down on an ultrabase/dock/etc and instantly have it charge/backup itself/display to a TV.richk wrote:You should be able to get a very nice x220t shipped to Argentina for that amount. EDIT: Taking offers that ship within the continental U.S., I'm sure I can convince some nerd friend to do the rest of the shipping
