As of right now, Im 3rd in the list of 84 T series laptops to be built... in the world! :D

Don't you find 84 to be really small? For the World?? I expected more... geez, they actually build them ONE at a time? Wow.. got a kick out that.

"Huh ?" :D

Sorry, called in to IBM/Lenovo direct and they scanned through the database over the phone and stated my position on the build list.

I think you were given some incorrect information.
YES, there HAVE TO BE more than 84 T series laptops waiting to be built for "planet earth", as you say. I would guess thousands, but that would be just a guess, but....84....no way.

That is perhaps the number for the specific model that you purchased. There are many different model numbers, some more popular than others.

I asked if this was restricted to model number or overall T series, he said the latter.

Wow I am surprised to hear that is the number for the entire T series. Sounds like you ordered a Ferrari or something. :)

Maybe it is 3/84 on a certain production line at a certain building?

Man, it could be anything... all I know is he said, "Lemme check the status of your order on the T-series build list on this database." I said okay and he came back with 3/84. I asked him if he was serious and if the list was on a world wide scale, "Im third on the T's build list out of 84 found in IBM's database for the World??" (with emphasis) He confirmed and I naturally choked with shock and said okay - have a nice day and hung up.
