DVD Burning

#1 Post by rxl77 » Tue May 31, 2005 9:04 pm

The T43's DVD Burner for the 2687D3U... that is a DVD-R burner right? It is not a DVD+R burner?

Also waht's the best format for backing up DVD's, and viewing them on consumer DVD players for TV's?

T43 owners can confirm ... UJ-822 is supposed to be DVD+RW writing capable. Tabook doesn't mention anything about +RW though for some reason.

As far as I know, DVD-R has more compatible with older DVD-ROM.. And I believe that the multi-burner can handle DVD+R also.

A little bit complicated.. DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM... ETC..
But, that multiburner would do its job with most DVD formats except dual layer and DVD-RAM..

I can confirm DVD+RW

I can confirm tat I have been able to burn DVD+RW's with my new T43P multiburner. Haven't tried DVD-RW but I'm sure that will work too.
