Solution not yet used: Intel 7260 ac-Wifi with X230T?

#1 Post by friedrich-eugen » Tue Jun 09, 2015 12:04 pm

Hello,

anyone aware of a way of making an Intel ac-wifi-card run in an X230T?
any kind of modded bios known or around ? Middleton? Zender?

I use such a Card in my frankenpad since quite some time, thanks to some modded bios... and I should like to add such a Card to my small Laptop, too.

Any help, advice or link would be very welcome...

You'll have to visit the forums at mydigitallife, I'm reasonably certain that a modded BIOS for that system exists...

Good luck.

RealBlackStuff,

You didn't suggest to physically extract the Bios-chip (be bold), did You?

Could You guide me to a modded bios, that a Person like me can use to "update" that Bios overcoming the Lenovo obstacles the conventional way...??

thanks in advance...

"Be bold" was indeed only meant for daredevils.

Download modded BIOS from here: https://www.box.com/s/62swrfq5fcmh89gn5bc6
Its readme.txt says:
Original (non modified) same version bios (gcuj09us.exe) SHOULD be flashed at first!

then, after reboot - flash modified bios : run mod_NWL.exe "as Administrator"
So, if it hasn't been done yet, flash original bios (2.03) first, then reboot.
Now flash the modded BIOS program mod_NWL.exe as described above (run from within Windows).

Hi RBS,

as the BIOS-Version installed is significantly higher and it is said to be not reversible, I did not use the modded BIOS up to now.

I'll have to wait for better times...
