my tp600's harddisk failure... get in trouble of reinstall..

#1 Post by Louis Jam » Wed Jun 01, 2005 6:44 am

Dear All,

the old harddisk ran for long in my tp600 was failure..
and now, I got another harddisk...

Tried to use a ghost backup of the original harddisk, ghost restore is okay but when I put the new harddisk to tp600, it fail to load..
it's the block or file system problem, right?

I guess I need to format the harddisk before I can use the new harddisk rightly...

But the problem is that, seem tp600 doesn't support usb floopy/cdrom to boot...
and I tried a pcmcia cdrom, doesn't work too...

the original cdrom is weak on reading disc...

Any suggestion?
it's okay if I need to reinstall a new windows.

Thanks.

Best Regards,
Louis

Befor you go any further, make sure that the pc card option is in the boot up option, do this by holding F1, go to statup, and try makeing it your ONLY boot option, other then that, you will have to get an external floppy, they are really cheap.
