T440P Trackpad Edges

I have a six month old T440P that has the trackpad edges lifting, it looks like the top surface is delaminating from the underlying trackpad structure, I believe the glue has simply failed. This may be from being used in a vehicle on a part time basis and being in the sun.

Never an issue with several older ThinkPads used in same conditions for many years.

Is this common or is mine an isolated manufacturing defect?

In any event, I am under warranty and will get it fixed, but am wondering if I am doomed to the same fate in another six months?
