Trackpoint in Windows Phone 10!

#1 Post by Omineca » Wed Jul 22, 2015 9:54 pm

I just installed the Windows Phone 10 preview on my Lumia 520, and was shocked to find that the on-screen keyboard has a trackpoint of sorts...

Kind of cool. Pressing on it brings up the four arrows for navigating through text. You can read about it and see a picture here: http://www.wpxbox.com/whats-new-keyboar ... -10-phone/

You know you're getting old when all of your "olds" are "new" again. :|

I believe it won't be out until some time in September or October, probably coinciding with the release of new Lumias.

You join the Windows Insider program (here: https://insider.windows.com/), and then install the Windows Insider app, which is in the app store. I think, if I remember correctly, they need to get back to you with an email confirmation before you're in, but it's a formality.

The nice thing is, they have a great feedback app, and you can find and upvote the issues you have, or create new ones.

Edit: I suppose I should emphasize that it's beta (unfinished) software, and things may break or not function properly.

No, it's off to one side, but you CAN change which side.
