glidepad on t42 question

#1 Post by pete0r » Sun Jun 20, 2004 12:48 pm

Hi everyone,

Does the glidepad on the t42's allow you to tap the pad in order to click on things? Or do you have to use the buttons to click. My Dad's thinkpad only has the earser thing, but i'm not sure i'd be able to get used to it..

thanks!

yes, it allows you to click, personally i hate the touchpad, i even keep it completely disabled, the trackpoint allows for much better, smoother control IMHO.

yeah, i'm sure i'll get used to it. i'm just so used to my previous laptop and using it to click.

thanks though. just wanted to make sure.. a friend just got a new compaq and it doesn't even do that.. that would drive me crazy.

edit: are you the skywing from genmay? heh
