Reasons NOT to like Windows 10

#1 Post by RealBlackStuff » Fri Jul 31, 2015 5:11 am

No doubt there will be quite a few dislikes of Windows 10.

George/ajkula66 already announced a dangerous dislike:
Windows 10 doesn't give a hoot about privacy

Here are a few more oddities:
Windows 10 tries to make you pay to play Solitaire

Windows 10 steals your bandwidth to send other people updates

Thank you for the Links.

From my experiences with M$ OSes:
Win10 is a Beta version until one year has passed from now on.
And I am not a Beta tester. I'll take a first look in Aug 2016.
Cheers,

For me:

1. Privacy.
2. Forced updates.

Forced updates means that it will mess up stability when you least expect it, and end up taking HD space and CPU power without a choice.

I had a vmware that was running an earlier build, with only 15gb of HD space, automatic update cause the HD's free space to finish and then some updates got stopped in the middle, and then things got corrupted for some reason with many errors .. and blue screens.

I didn't debug the problem, i just reformated the virtual machine at the time, but the important thing to note is that this could happen on any computer running out of free space.
