Need driver for OEM Graphics card

#1 Post by ThinkPad560X » Tue Aug 04, 2015 3:49 pm

I got a OEM Lenovo 11202027 MSI Geforce GT 635 2GB Graphics card for my ThinkCentre M55e tower to have better graphics for my system and decided to get a OEM so I can get the drivers through System Update with the IBM/Lenovo ecosystem.

Turns out I cannot find the driver for the card and it is not detecting is Windows 7 and Windows 8. The fan runs but no response. I found out the card is from out of a Lenovo IdeaCentre K450, so I went to look for the driver, I downloaded what looks to be the closes since It didnt give any info of cards and nothing worked.

I messaged the seller and gave me links to the driver witch was the K450 driver page again. So I went and called Lenovo to get it worked out and to find out why its not working and I get NOT HELPING YOU, Not because you are using a IBM/Lenovo Think PC but it is not in warranty and cannot even help me find the driver page. I was upset that they would not even get to the driver page for that card. i remember when being with IBM I would get support even for old ThinkPads, you just would have to pay for the parts you needed if not under warranty.

By the way when I called it said Thank you for calling IBM tech support and then transferred to lenovo talk, So is IBM still with Lenovo? I though their continued help with the sells of their PCs ended after 5 years of when bought out in 2005, end in 2010?

Check its PCI ID and confirm that it is valid/correct. I've encountered situations where the driver cannot be installed because the card's PCI ID somehow got corrupted.
