T43 Hard Drive Caddy question

I just picked up a very nice T43 1871-4AU to replace my T43 2668-89U that died. The new one came without a hard drive or caddy, am going to use the one from my old one. Well I just pulled the hard drive and caddy out of my old T43 and tried to put it in the new one and it won't fit. Actually the hard drive fits as I slid it in and the computer brought XP up just fine. Problem is when I put the drive and caddy in the new one, the caddy cover sticks about 3/4 inch out, Can not put it all the way in. Were there different caddies between these two models??? And caddys I see on Ebay just say for the T43. Any suggestions??

14.1" HD covers for T4x have short legs. http://www.ebay.com/itm/371301376450
15" HD covers for T4x have longer legs. http://www.ebay.com/itm/321141420180
They are not interchangeable.

I have an extra 14" T4x HDD cover that I'm unlikely to use - ever - which I'd happily swap for the 15" one.

Thanks for the offer, but I think I am going to just order the correct one off ebay and save this one as I might try and fix my old one.
