Fwd/Back Internet Keys

#1 Post by rxl77 » Thu Jun 02, 2005 9:06 pm

You know the Forward/Backward Internet Key Arrows for the T series? All of a sudden, when I use them, the LCD displays "Forward" or "Backward" in the bottom right corner. How do I disable this?

My t43 started doing the same thing. I'm not sure which update enabled this option or if it is some sticky key type thing. I blame it on the wife that has been using it at night.

Yeah, actually mine's even weirder. I was using the laptop, and I must have hit some combinaton of keys with the CTRL and all of a sudden the green letters showed up now.

ANyone know a way to disable it again?

Interestingly enough, it seems to only appear in Mozilla Firefox and not in Internet Explorer.

It is part of on screen display in IBM hotkey utility package. Like when you increase or decrease volume or LCD brightness those bars will show up on the screen.

May be if you configure or disable hot key utility it will go away. I don't know if I would do that though

No, I think I'll just leave the hotkey(s) alone. It just seems strange that I don't remember it displaying this before. Firefox was probably my first download and I use it 99% of the time.
