Hi everyone,
I recently bought a used W530 but I'd like to upgrade the display to FHD. Currently native screen resolution is 1368x768.
This is an i7 3729QM, with Quadro K1000M with a 500GB HDD. Does anyone successfully upgrade such configuration to a FHD? If so, can you point me to the ebay seller/website with the model?
I'd eventually upgrade this machine to a bigger SSD with 32GB of RAM but due to the limited desk space, i'd like to upgrade the screen to FHD instead of connecting to an external monitor to utilize the high screen resolution .
TIA!
Cheers.

Re: W530 upgrade screen to FHD.
Welcome to the forum.
Get the W530 parts-list from here: https://download.lenovo.com/parts/Think ... 131007.pdf
Scroll down to/search for LCD'S.
All W530 screens use the same LCD- and LED-cables.

Re: W530 upgrade screen to FHD.
Hi there,
I would like to ask if you had any luck with replacing the screen to a FHD?
I would like to upgrade my 900 x 1600 to a 1980 x 1080.
I actually ordered and received a new screen from a website here in The Netherlands (which is where I currently living) but when it arrived I was very disappointing as I could see each individual pixel. After reporting this they sent me a new one, but that too had the same problem. The screens worked but I don't think they were of the same quality that the original and still functioning screen is. So I am returning the second one they sent too. The product number was B156HW02 V.1
I have tried to ask sellers on ebay and amazon if the can guarantee me better quality from their FHD screens for the w530 but they won't give me a straight answer.
After much searching on the internet I found that the B156HW01 V.4 - matt and the B156HW01 V.7 - glossy are supposedly the best, but it seems impossible to attain this information from sellers also.
Can anybody help with suggesting a good screen/place to buy one? And also share a story of upgrading the screen and it actually being successful?
Thanks
