can a T430s drive a 4k / UHD external monitor?

I have an X220, and thinking about getting a 14" machine. My wife's T420s is a nice compromise between size, weight, and screen size.

The X220 can't drive a 4k display at more than 30hz because of the integrated graphics and displayport 1.1 (?). I assume the T420s is in the same boat as the X220. I don't have a 4k display yet, but hankering for one in this year's upgrade cycle.

Can the T430s drive a 4k display at 60hz? I don't care about games (have a desktop for that I don't use :-)), but for coding work mostly.

I'm liking a T430s since it has a decent enough keyboard, can take 2 8gb dimms, and can be upgraded to an IPS display now :-).

The T450s is petty comparable to an upgrade T430s, at twice the price, and probably twice the battery life, with equal processing power.

Anyone disagree or have thoughts?

T430s with discrete graphics has a max of 2560x1600 external resolution via the DP output, on board or via docks.

Maybe. Some people have had success running 4k at 30hz instead of 60hz, by creating a custom resolution in the nvidia control panel. However, watching video or fast motion pictures may appear laggy.
