Re: T410 wireless not working
Welcome to the forum!
Do you have any "unknown devices" in the Device Manager? What is the full 7-character MTM - located on the same sticker that holds the serial # and the production date on the bottom of the laptop - of that T410? It likely starts with 2522 or 2537, but we need *all* seven characters.
Please do not post the serial number.
Good luck and let us know.

Yes the button on the side of the right hand side is on. When I click on the network connection on the task bar it says connections are available. And underneath mobile broadband connection. I've compared network drivers to this and my t61 and they are different

OK so you're missing Access Connections, Power Manager or both.Run_rabbit55 wrote:Nothing
You may want to go into BIOS and verify that the wireless is enabled there as well.

Re: T410 wireless not working
Interesting.
Can you boot a "live" Linux CD or USB to check whether the card is "seen" there? That would at least let us know whether we're dealing with a hardware problem or a software bug...

In most Linux distros you'll see an networking icon of some kind either in the lower or upper right corner/quadrant. Click on it and we'll see where it gets you...Run_rabbit55 wrote: How will I no if it's recognised? Do you want me.to install Linux or just run it?

Re: T410 wireless not working
If you changed the wifi card for another non-Lenovo one, without the correct drivers the OS will not see it.
OR, the wifi card is defective or loose.

I've checked the wifi card and looks fitted Ok. Still no wireless on windows or Ubuntu. Just wondering if it's simpler for me to get a wireless dongle in the laptop!

Re: T410 wireless not working
A USB or PC Card Wireless should work OK. I've used both on T410s. Don't use both at once -- they drive each other crazy.
You mentioned that you have a GOBI card. Are you trying to use a cell network for WiFi? The Gobi needs special drivers.
