T440 simcard slot replacement?

Hi all,
by my mistake I have insert one nano simcard with bad full size adaptor to the wan simcard slot on my t440, after that, was impossible to take out the simcard from the slot.
I forced too much and finally take out the simcard but I have dameged the simcard slot inside the notebook, conctats are broken. There is a way to replaice the simcard reader only? Or the conctacts shoul be soldered again?

If you can solder, yes, then you could try to fix the contacts.
Otherwise replace the SIM-slot with one from another motherboard.
Either way it will be a rather tough job!

I will try when I will have more time to spend on resolder the 2 or 3 brocken contacts. For this I need to completely disassamble the notebook, I think is not possible to have access to the sim card slot by removing only the keyboard, true?

I don't have a T440, but from the looks of that motherboard on eBay, yes, you will have to taker the motherboard out.

Yes I can confirm, need to take out the MB.


I'm searching some detailed picture of the reader for understand if I will be able to solder again the pins.
