Standard keyboard to backlit keyboard?

#1 Post by kony » Mon Sep 14, 2015 8:23 am

If I replace my standard keyboard with a backlit one, will it work just fine? Do I need any software changes? I run linux, does it matter?

The backlit keyboard is plug and play using the same connector. The backlite is activated with a keystroke combination and is not OS dependent.

I use CTRL+SPACE to turn on and off thinklight, I think the same is used for keyboard backlight. Right now I have option 1: thinklight on; and 2. thinklight off. Do I understand it correctly that if I have a backlit keyboard there will just be an additional 3. Thinklight off, backlight on?
