I bought my #2 T520 i5 4243-4WU as a backup and as a learning tool, to teach myself about maintaining and upgrading laptops.
It was listed on e-bay as a 1600X900 machine, but turned out to be a 1366X768, my fault, if I had run the MTM it would have shown up as a 1366x768 machine.
I've since added a 128GB mSATA card, 8GB ram from my old Toshiba and a 500GB rotational HD.
Since I doubt I'll find the FHD display I want for #1, I'd like to find a HD+ display to replace the 1366X768 in #2.
If you followed all this so far, I am looking for a pull out factory 15.6-inch HD+ (1600x900) LED-backlight LCD panel to replace my 1366X768.
If anyone has an affordable one, let me know. I'd rather not play ebay roulette with this.

I have such a display laying around from a w510.
First I want to ask you or the board members a question to save you some headaches. Are you sure a w510 t510 30 series screen will work. I know there are some instances where if the right screen isn't put in the laptop the fuse on the motherboard will go.

This is a very good question, one that I would also like to know the answer to.jedisurfer1 wrote:I have such a display laying around from a w510.

I have no idea, I thought they were all the same, but obviously, I'd rather not damage my T520.

The screen will work just fine, these were shared across T and W ranges throughout *10/20/30 generation.
