SL400 HDD removal tab broke

I am trying to remove the hard drive from SL400, but HDD removal tab broke off and HDD now stuck.
I need to be able remove HDD in order to replace touchpad and put HDD back in.

Sorry for your trouble.

I would attempt to carefully inch the hard drive out with a small screwdriver or even a small needle nose tool.

Replace the hard drive caddy with another that has the tab intact before reinstalling the hard drive.
