support for older generation trackpoints

#1 Post by mr_yellow » Thu Oct 08, 2015 12:22 pm

Hey Guys,

I have an x61s with the trackpoint version prior to the "ultranav" generation of trackpoints. I have Windows 10 installed and everything is pretty much running except the middle mouse button scrolling doesn't work on metro apps/start menu.

Anyone here know of a way of customizing the tp4table.dat to get it working with metro apps?

Thanks,

I installed the Ultranav driver for Windows 10 on my Z61t (which it doesn't list as compatible, but it worked fine.) Perhaps that might help?

How did you install the ultranav driver? Everytime i try, it doesn't detect any hardware.

Did you force install it (specify disk/location when manually updating driver)?

And if you don't mind, exactly what version of ultranav did you use?

Thanks,

The Ultranav driver works on the Z61t because it has an Ultranav device (Trackpoint + Touchpad).

AFAIK the last Thinkpad without a touchpad is the X200, so if any Windows 10 installation on an X200 succeeds in enabling middle-click scrolling with Metro apps, it's probably reproducible on the X60/61 as well.
