Sub-model not listed on Lenovo site

Why is it that sub-model 2349-SW8 does not show up in Lenovo site or here under MTM. What could be the reason for this? The laptop does show up on Lenovo website when a Warranty search is conducted using the Serial no.

Could it be a special CTO model that was a very limited corporate run?

Who hasn't?

but if you did check all the Google results then you'll know it is listed on another site with different specs too, the same sub-model... even one mentions it as 'Scottish Government T430'.

FYI: the MTMs that are usually available here in the US, concern mostly models that were made for the US.
Other parts of the world (like Europe or Asia etc.) probably have their own 'guides'.
Blame Lenovo for their limited (and often wrong) info-availability.

True, although another T430 model we have in family, 2349BG6 (UK one) shows up fine on Lenovo Int. site as well as the MTMs so it is confusing. Anyway, I guess it comes down to Lenovo not providing complete info. I just wanted to ask here and see if someone else has had the same issue (it is a non issue really, just wanted to ask around) with their Thinkpad.

If I am not mistaken, some laptops from the middle east from IBM/Lenovo also do not show up on lenovo's website main MTM search.

I figured that is may have something to do with the keyboard or something, maybe the main MTM is for the English keyboard only.

It was a long time ago, so do not take my word for it, I may have missed some details.
