Latchless T500

#1 Post by TPFanatic » Thu Oct 15, 2015 12:36 am

Hi!

I recently acquired some nice T500s, including this beauty complete with a wsxga screen, switchable graphics, a T9400, and a neat aftermarket feature: a latchless lid.

So my question is, what would I have to do to put new latches in here? :?

Thanks!

Usually you'll need to find any old lid/back cover that still has latches and transfer them.
Or buy a good-looking lid/back cover.
They need to have all the innards (like rollcage etc.)

Ah, so it's not a very simple surgery. Ah well. Thanks RealBlackStuff. :)

Since I have some extra T500 pieces including a lid I could do the operation if I really wanted to. But going latchless isn't so bad.

Thanks again!
