X200 battery options

#1 Post by QuackXP » Thu Oct 22, 2015 7:12 pm

I recently got a X200 with no OS.

I was able to use my T420 recovery media to get an Activated Windows 7 Pro OS onto the device and then I upgraded the X200 to Windows 10.

I haven't tried running the unit from full charge all the way down but I figure I'm getting 2-3 hours off use per charge.

Would I be getting any better battery life out of a newer battery?

How good are the third party batteries?

I have a Lenovo 6 cell.

I have a genuine Lenovo/Panasonic 9-cell in my X200s, which gives me almost 9 hours.
Mfg: 2010-09-17, First use: 2011-04, design 93.96Wh, currently 84.36Wh, after 145 cycles, FRU 42T4696.
Best battery you can get.

I should mention this is a secondary laptop and as of now I have a total of $8 invested in it. While i'm sure the factory batteries are the best I would defiantly explore other options.

Before this conversation gets off track, would you please clarify... "defiantly" OR "definitely"?
