Wondering how many Office 365 customers it brings

Yes, this is probably THE worst business decision I have ever heard of. Even Yahoo Mail, which is free, provides 1 TB. Gmail is stingier, but still gives 15 GB.Puppy wrote:Wondering how many Office 365 customers it bringsAnother Microsoft bad decision and overreaction. I understand the 75 TB overuse argument but the 5 GB storage is ridiculous.

On the whole, I have found myself liking Microsoft more and more. Windows 10 and 8.1 are better than 7 and XP, and far better than NT, 98, 98SE, and ME. The Surface, Surface Pro and Surface Book are among the most innovative computers today, and innovating in such a mature field is incredibly difficult. A few Lumia phones have caught my eye, and while I haven't tried Windows Phone 10 (officially called "Windows 10 for Phones"), it seems very promising. Internet Explorer and Hotmail have also gotten much better over the years.brchan wrote:Microsoft is going downhill. I stopped using all their products shortly after Windows 8 was introduced.
Office is probably the only Microsoft product line that's going downhill, which is inevitable because for >99% of users including myself, all the features that we will ever need are already covered in Office 2007. Nonetheless, Microsoft has still managed to profit quite a bit from Office 365, which is impressive.brchan wrote:Regarding office products, yes, libreoffice has 99% of the features most people use, and more. I only remember one instance of compatability issues, but it was converting a very complex diagram from word to libreoffice writer. But even then, the error was easily corrected.

For me there is no better alternative yet. I am also impressed by their software development tools and server technologies but this is different story. MS Office is the only product I don't like since I don't like those office suites in general, including Outlook (Thunderbird is far better option, at least for me).pianowizard wrote:On the whole, I have found myself liking Microsoft more and more.

Nowt to do with that, they promised one thing and went back on their word, all they had to do was restrict the ones abusing the storage but no they ramp up the prices and cut the quotas.Temetka wrote:This entitlement mentality. I don't get it.

They had promised 15 GB storage for camera pictures. Don't forget it is not possible to change default cloud provider on Windows Mobile/Phone devices. Also their competition has currently much better offering.Temetka wrote:They don't have to offer a single bit of storage for free and yet they give you 5GB. What is it you people want? 20GB? 1TB? Free?
Well, I have just checked my Lumia 930, and you are wrong - you can set other apps, such as DropBox, as the default cloud / for the direct upload of pictures.Puppy wrote:They had promised 15 GB storage for camera pictures. Not owning a Windows phone / tablet, I was unaware of this.Puppy wrote:They had promised 15 GB storage for camera pictures. You can´t install iCloud cause the app does not exist, but you absolutely can install Dropbox and use it to backup you pictures.Temetka wrote:So I can't install Dropbox or iCloud on say, a Lumia 1520?
