Will this 2.5" to 3.5" adpator work on my T23 hard drive?

#1 Post by arabianights » Tue Nov 10, 2015 10:11 pm

my t23 died. I try to add an adapter so i can read and use the hard drive on my desktop pc.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/390915656893?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

according to the description, it says 44 pins to 40 pins, but when i look at the laptop hard drive connection, it has about 47 pins, with 4 pins on the right separate from the rest of pins.

It should work.

I use one of these Apricorn Drivewire thingies: http://dev.apricorn.com/products/notebo ... apter.html
Been using it for 7-8 years now, never fails.

If interested, I have a few fully working T23 machines for sale.
PM me if interested.

thanks! my t23 had seen two motherboards, two fans, and I've got no complaint to set it at rest last.
I've acquired a used t60 to replace it since.

I've successfully migrated the 30G hd pulled from t23 into a desktop housing with the new adapter connector. although I'd been troubleshooting in the past week to get the preinstalled win2k to work properly in the new machine. os boots fine but is extremely slow to boot ( >20 mins). in the end, I decided to reinstall win2k under the new machine and it's been fine.

Are you by chance using the unofficial updates for Windows 2000?
