How long would a slimbay battery let my T42 run for?

#1 Post by Ryan T. » Mon Jun 06, 2005 12:24 am

On medium brightness w/ wifi I usually get about 4 hours with my 2378-FVU. What could I get if I bought a slimbay battery and used it concurrently? Also, would would the 9 cell regular battey do to my runtime?

Thanks for any information.

Ryan

On my T42p (1.8GHz 2373-GVU) with the screen dim to 2 bars I get the following

Plate Battery - 2:25
6 Cell - 4:10
9 Cell - 6:20

Hope that helps

Yes, that would satisfy IBMs promises, that with 9cell+UltraBay you get 8 hours.

Thats what I get, but I dim the screen and have things set to maximize battery life

That's normal, that every company promises you only the topmost possible battery life.
