Two Thinkpad T450s Questions

1) If I include a camera with my 450s its obviously part of the display, at the top of the LCD screen correct?

2) Can I take my screen off and still use the thinkpad? Right now with my old T400s I actually use the latpop with no physical screen connected. I've taken it apart and removed it. I then plug the laptop (keyboard only) into a port replicator with two monitors attached. Works great. I want to do the same.

Can anyone confirm this by any chance?

Yes, the camera sits at the top of the LCD.

I presume you can use the T450s without the screen, though I've not done it myself, but I'm curious why you'd want to spend that kind of money on a T450s when you could buy or build a desktop for considerably less, even a SSF or USFF one? Even a lesser ThinkPad, say the L450, is likely to do the job.
