How do I wipe clean my IBM Thinkpad A31 laptop from the IBM BIOS Setup Utility?

I do not know much about computers. I have a problem with my laptop and I think it has a virus. So I want to clear it of everything and start fresh with a new Windows OS program. I want everything cleaned out, to empty it.

You can't wipe an A3x series system from BIOS anyway, that option was not available at the time...
