Will one of these power adapters work with the 750?

Well the system board's the problem with the "new" one. But what's the problem with the old one? What does "basically it's the computer" mean? If it's the processor card o the DC/DC card, are those things that could be easily taken out of the "new" one?

It requires fully disassembling the unit to swap out those pieces. But the unit that has the error 199xxx on the screen is a bad system board so it would do you no good to use that one.

I can't find a part in that manual that tells me how to take it apart. I would need diagrams and stuff, because I don't want to break it.

FRU Removals and Replacements for the 750's start on page 236 (246 in Adobe reader) there are diagrams for each item with a list of what order stuff comes out.

I have another old piece of technology that needs repairing, but that's a lot more complicated. How would I go about finding a "hacker group" or something near me that could help me fix these?

Posting here and seeing if anyone is in your area would be one guess. Look for PC user groups in your area? I see some younger guys in my area putting little museums together like stuff came from a 4000 year old Egyptian tomb.
