Can I change my T42 to T43 when I replace after 8 months?

I am new for this great site. I come here almost every day. I have a T42(2373-3XU) for eight months. Due to the system board error (IBM telephone support service told me so), my T42 can not boot. They will replace it for me.

I just want to ask is it possible that I change my T42 to a new T43 by adding some money when I mail my T42 back to them for replacing? I am looking forward for the answer.

It never hurts to ask but generally no. If they screw up big time you might be able to coerce them into it. But doubtful
