If you are talking about a T61/R61, then no, they all run with the Intel T7000 Core 2 Duo series.
The Intel T2000 Core Duo series works with T60/R60.

I don't suppose the chipset would have any problems working with them, but the socket that was used in the 965 mobile systems is not pin-compatible with the Core Duo CPUs.
Current: X220 4291-4BG, T410 2537-R46, T60 1952-F76, T60 2007-QPG, T42 2373-F7G
Collectibles: T430s (IPS FHD + Classic Keyboard), X32 (IPS Screen)
Retired: X61 7673-V2V, A31p w/ Ultrabay Numpad
Past: Z61t 9440-A23, T60 2623-D3U, X32 2884-M5U

I actually answered my own question shortly after posting this. For whatever reason I had a dumb moment and thought the two platforms were compatible, even though I already read up on the differences between socket P and M a long time ago.
