A31 Recovery

I had to replace the hard drive on one of our A31 Thinkpads. I now need to recover back to factory defaults but since it is a new hard drive there are no recovery files. I have several other A31s in our office. Is it possible to copy these files onto a CD and recover the new hard drive? Or do I have to order recovery CDs from IBM?

You can either copy the recovery partition to the new hard drive from the old and use the utility program to reconnect it or you'll have to order the recovery cdrom. Since you have several other - i would do that latter.
