do all t4x notebooks share the same 9 cell batteries?

#1 Post by ewthompson » Mon Jun 06, 2005 3:51 pm

I am looking to purchase an aftermarket 9 cell for my t43, but none of the standard sites seem to have it in stock (they all explicitly indicate their batteries are for use w/t40-t42 units)...will I be safe in buying one of the batteries listed without them specifically referencing t43?

Thanks in advance,

EWT
T43: 2GB, 160GB,1.86GHz. Wanted: T400s or X301, maxed out. Or do I want a new T410? Opinions welcome.

Yes, it should be safe.
The T43 batteries have a 10% boost in capacity and also in weight.
What's the best price that you have found? Newegg.com has the IBM one for $99.

Do I understand you to mean there would be an advantage in my ordering the actual t43 battery as opposed to one simply compatible with the t43? In that scenario, it appears I will have to pay the actual ibm.com price, as I can't find the t43 battery for sale at newegg.com, or other reputable sites...

Thanks,

I don't think anyone other than IBM/Lenovo has the newer T43 batteries yet.
If I were you, I would just get the older T4x high capacity battery and save the extra money. An extra 30 minutes is not worth the extra $60-$70.
