I am however surprised to see that he was 60 by the time the 700C was launched. I have read the Different Shade of Blue a couple of times (Highly recommended bed-side lecture for all ThinkPad fans) but I don't think the book gave a clear picture of how old he was. I might have to read it again.
Another point of interest for those who are interested, is that another significant name in the history of Thinkpads, John Karidis, the inventor of the 701C's butterfly keyboard, passed away in 2012.
