T61p 14" 4:3 model

#1 Post by ThorOfAsgard » Thu Jan 14, 2016 11:12 pm

How hard are these to find? I purchased one new around 2007 (I think)--it had the Quadro FX570 128MB video, 1400x1050 14" display, and was an all around exceptional machine. I ended up selling it when I moved a couple years later, and I kind of regret it.

Every time I look for a T61p these days, I only come across widescreen models.

They are not as abundant as 15.4" version, but can be located.

Post a WTB (want to buy) ad in the forum's Marketplace and see where that gets you.

Happy shopping.

I have a pretty rare one, it an original Penryn model with T9300 and I originally purchased it for the motherboard but it looks too nice to chop up.

I've also considered installing an nvs140m board with new GPU in it and selling it that way, as every single one of these models was subject to possible gpu failure, but still the fx570m boards are desired by those building frankenpads out of 15" T60 units.
