Partitions oversized?

#1 Post by VanZan » Sat Jan 23, 2016 3:52 pm

I just migrated my Windows 10 install to a SSD. I'm curious about some of the partition sizes. In particular my "Lenovo Recovery" is 49GB with 40Gb free. Also my SYSTEM_DRV is 40.5GB with 40GB free!!!!

I'm asking because the SSD is only 250GB in total and I only have 45GB free on the C drive. Can I reduce the sizes of the Recovery and SYSTEM_DRV partitions or will they need the space? Will they expand or stay the same size wise?

Thanks! :)

I would advise to first make CDs/DVDs from your recovery partition.
After that, get your proper W10-key from your SSD (How? Search Micro$haft or the web).
After that, wipe the whole SSD and install W10 from scratch.
