Non-business GPU, (aka normal mobile GPU notebooks) to aquire some day.
For examples: Dell Studio 1558 HD5470, lenovo T60 x1400, HP 8510p HD2600.
Wanted to know what notebook that does have newer GPU which I'm referring about except not for business, is used for consumer/ medium gaming and CPU either C2D with fsb of 1066, sandy bridge or Westmere microarchitecture (1st generation) aka "Arrandale".
Thanks all and cheers, thinkpadcollection

Didn't the T400/500 series have a Radeon GPU? I'd look there.
Perhaps if we knew what games you are planning on running we could help recommend a Thinkpad.

Just tested several thinkpads; best and highest frame rate in boot to dos mode (I know can not play with sound) is T500 and T420, also integrated GPU T410 , T410's discrete GPU then T60 x1400 is kind of slower.
I will not have T500 very long yet is nice for me but I also have even nicer notebook to uses, this notebook is given to my friend to replace his ancient inspiron or R52 with intermittent wireless lapses.
This is the reason I like feedback based on your experiences.
Oh one more thing, I tried A31p booted into dos mode with doom2, runs nice but how is the T42's 9600 64MB GPU?
Cheers, thinkpadcollection

I recommend not getting a Dell Studio. Too flimsy build quality. A Latitude E 5510 is a solid Dell Choice or better yet, hunt down a nice ThinkPad X220, T410/420, or T510/520.
