No BIOS Wi-Fi whitelist since .50 series ?

Yes, I think I replied to some comments over on Lenovoblogs where customers were asking about whitelists.

I confirmed at the time that the X250 generation of ThinkPads should not have a WIFI whitelist as before. WWAN cards may still have whitelists.

I will check again to make sure nothing has changed

Is Lenovo finally getting rid of this unwanted feature ?

No, there still is a WWAN / WLAN white-list.

There is a thread over at notebookreview, where users can not adjust brightness when using any LCD that is not an official Lenovo FRU.
This limitation was not present in the .40 series.
