Hello,
I recently upgraded my X220's WLAN card from N6205 to 7260AC (with no-whitelist BIOS, of course). The weird issue is that, after reboot the new card disappears from Device Manager. After I shut down the notebook, then I turn it on again, the card reappears.
Seems to me it can be some weird problem connected to the FPR, which I use for log in. When I reboot the computer and I use only for Windows logon the FPR, the card disappears, no WLAN led, nothing - when I turn it on with FPR, the card is good and solid, like Niska's reputation from Firefly... I tried to turn off the FPR logon to see what happens them, but it's the first scenario - no wireless.
I have Anti-Theft and Computrace options in the BIOS disabled (not permanently disabled), maybe it can be some security issue with them or other security feature.
I use Win 7 Pro x64, Intel WLAN driver is the newest Lenovo-certified one (from the X230 drivers - version nr. 18.32.0.5). I'm on modified BIOS version 1.39.
Pin 20 on the wireless card was covered with permanent marker (I do not have at the moment suitable tape at hand). Thanks in advance!

The permanent marker is not good enough to cover a contact.
Even a piece of scotchtape/sellotape will do.

Thank You!
Is the issue related to not-enough-good taping?
Edit: I found some tape, did the taping of pin 20 and pin 51, success, wifi on and steady after reboot too. Thank You!
