T60 chipset memory limit questions.

I knew this would be stale bread thing, yet does this chipset in T60 take use of i/o and memory shadowing if both modules are 2GB pair? Otherwise I would rather run 2GB pair instead of 4GB and be lazy with performance needs using low resource OS and older stuff like older games. BTW this said T60 has x1400 graphics with bad ethernet chip.

Otherwise save up for new motherboard for D810 with x600 128mb (this is one with dual fans) or HP 8510p C2D 15.4" with HD2600 ati daughterboard with all copper cooling system (excellent design), costs very little on ebay and can go 8GB as well, 800fsb C2D. Do not want to have bulk and odd ATI chip from old era such as A31p.
