Best Display for T440S FHD (1920X1080) in Win 7?

I downgraded my T440S from Windows 8 to Windows 7. I have to admit - the display isn't as nice by far (yes, I did install the video driver). Even though I tried tweaking (larger fonts and symbols) everything seems off, whereas Windows 8 seemed to have everything in the right size and color.

What configuration will give me a nicer display? ( and please don't send me back to Windows 8! there were advertisements there!)

You need a colorimeter which you use to calibrate the display. You can get one on Amazon or eBay.
