Heat of T43 Vs 23

#1 Post by abrodsky » Wed Jun 08, 2005 11:00 am

If this has been asked, I apologize for asking as well.

Is there a difference in the perceptual heat of T43 vs. T23. I have a T23 and am thinking of moving to T43 but am worried that the heat it gives off will be too much.

Thanks,
Alex

All of my T40s, my two T41p's and my T42p develop less heat than I remember from my T23.

yeah. I have a T22 and I know it gets a LOT hotter than my T30 does. :) Hope that helps.

Great! Thank you.

What about the fan? How often does it kick-in?
I use the machine primarily for typical office work - mail, excel, word, ...

Thanks,
Alex

it really depends if u going to use the wireless or not. at least in my experience without wireless the fan is nothing to think about.
with it it's slightly loader but not big issue.
setting the CPU to ADAPTIVE and lower the voltage helps some more.
