Should/how do I update my T23 System Information?

I purchased a used T23 (2647-4NU) from IBM Canada and it seems that the System Information might be wrong. In the ThinkPad Configuration software, View System Summary indicates "Machine type-Model: 2647PU4". I can't find 2647-PU4 in the Tawbook. So my question is, should I change the "Machine type-Model" information? Does this matter?
