And if you like to read obvious BS, check the IVO website: http://www.ivo.com.cn/ensite/branch?s=company

The only reason for such change by Lenovo can be lower price. Is the panel even worse than the LG.Display one (image retention, backlight bleeding) ?

Now we are getting somewhere: The display backlight flickers at 220 Hz (Likely utilizing PWM) Flickering detected at a brightness setting of 90 % and below ... The frequency of 220 Hz is relatively low, so sensitive users will likely notice flickering and experience eyestrain at the stated brightness setting and below.

Just another Lenovo crap.

There are two different HD IPS displays used in the X260, not just this one:

- 00HN856 (IVO)

- 00NY414 (LG)

There are also several FHD IPS Displays:

- 00HN899 (LG)

- 00HN884 (INX)

- 00HN883 (AUO)

Thanks. The lottery has begun again :( The long T440s LG vs AUO thread probably wasn't enough. Oh, wait ... Lenovo absolutely does not care about different quality of "the same" display component regardless of the device price tag. That's why E560 has actually better FHD display than P50.

Choosing components from different vendors is something pretty much standard in the industry for most machines. The reason: It ensures redundancy, if one display manufacturer isn´t able to deliver enough panels, another will be, and it also keeps down the price of the displays overall, since the manufacturers are directly competing there.

This would be valid if the quality of the component was almost similar, which is not the case and it has been proven many times. Now it is just tricking customers, nothing else.

For the premium price I would expect predictable quality. Lenovo actually does not make any difference between low-end and premium price laptops.

Another important aspect when it comes to Lenovo and display quality, low PWM frequency
