I have heard that Transcend 512GB M.2 SSD can be installed in the older X-1 Carbon (v.1) to replace the internal 256gb SSD HDD in there now. Is this substitution viable? On line, the Transcend looks like the wrong form factor and with extra pinnout.
But I need the extra storage. Is there any other substitute internal HDD?
If this is not viable, is it possible to use the SD card slot for extra storage that would have live access for regular wordprocessing use (not just graphics storage)? Which card is viable?
Thanks much, friends. J.

I'm pretty sure the carbon v1 is not an M.2, it's mSATA.
